Recently there has been a large influx of fraudulent phishing emails targeting business and trademark owners across Canada and the United States.

This article explains two ways to speed up Canadian trademark applications: (1) through expedited examination which requires an affidavit; or (2) by using the Goods and Services Manual. Its purpose is to help applicants avoid delays in the process of their applications.

This article highlights the essential aspects of recent guidelines issued by the USPTO on inventions assisted by artificial intelligence. The guidelines incorporate recent guidance from the US courts that inventors must be natural persons and that AI systems do not qualify as inventors.
